Privacy Policy

BoltWorks Board is a browser-based visual planning application created and developed by Daniel Rydin. This policy explains how the application handles information, including when you optionally connect Google Calendar.

Local board data

BoltWorks Board is designed to keep normal board content in your browser. Boards, notes, tasks, settings and other project data may be stored locally using browser storage. Project files can also be saved by you as .bwboard files. BoltWorks Board does not require you to upload this board content to a BoltWorks server to use the core board features.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar integration is optional. If you choose to connect it, BoltWorks Board requests permission to create and update calendar events using the Google Calendar API. Information needed for an event—such as its title, description, date/time and reminder settings—is sent to Google only when you choose to send or update that task in Google Calendar.

Your Google OAuth Client ID is stored locally in your browser. Google access tokens are kept in memory for the active session and are not stored inside .bwboard project files. You can disconnect Google Calendar from within the application; when possible, the current access token is also revoked through Google Identity Services.

Google user data

BoltWorks Board uses Google user data only to provide the Google Calendar feature requested by you. It does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to communicate with Google's services at your request.

Third-party services

When Google Calendar integration is used, your browser communicates with Google Identity Services and the Google Calendar API. Google's own privacy terms apply to information processed by Google.

Data retention and deletion

Local BoltWorks Board data remains in your browser until you remove it through the application, clear the site's browser storage, or otherwise delete it. Saved .bwboard files remain wherever you chose to save them. Google Calendar events created by the app remain in your Google Calendar until they are changed or deleted there.

Changes

This policy may be updated as BoltWorks Board changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
